Denver fun

We didn't get to do much, but what we did do was a lot of fun.

This is my oldest son playing football in the hotel pool.

My daughter and younger son with my sister's boyfriend.

And my sister with my baby!

Trying to get my baby warm and dry. She wanted right back in the water though, so this didn't last long.

My 2 year old chillin out in the hotel after a long, exhausting pillow fight.

She just likes to explore everything.

And finally, we had dinner at the aquarium. My daughter was pouting because her brother was bothering her. Well, at least that's what she told me.

Road Trip

We're back from our short road trip. And by short, I mean only two days. It took us about 7 hours of driving EACH way, I'm tired!

My baby decided after she threw all her toys on the floor that she was bored. So she taught herself a new trick. Those toes were tasty I guess.

And yes, this one is a little blurry. But hey, give me a break. You try to get perfect focus while driving down the interstate at 70 miles per hour! Some people hold burgers while driving, some people hold their cell phones. And some people, like me, hold their cameras over their shoulder. Oh, and don't tell the hubby I did that. Hubby if you're reading this.. well, don't. :)

So this one I took out my driver's side window... also while driving down the interstate. :)

One thing that you might notice about this picture is the lighting. With a sky like that how is it that the green whatever they are look so well lit? Well that's because the sky was having multiple personalities. One side was yucky gray and raining and the other side was nice and blue and bright.

Anyway, that's all for tonight. I have a few for tomorrow!

Babes

Just another silly post. We're off to Denver today so I'm posting early before we leave. I took these photos yesterday...

Only a 2 year old would come up with this seating arrangement to watch cartoons.

And this little monkey just saw that I had the camera out and wanted to participate. How could I say no?

This is her attempt to show me her TV watching style.

Have a good weekend!

Random

This is my attempt at randomness! My yard is VERY boring. I want to go downtown somewhere to get some cool photos. But for some reason I'm not too excited about doing that with four kids in tow.

So I went in my front yard for about 2 minutes and this is all I found.

Any guesses what car I drive?

And I have no idea what these are but there are a lot of them around here! All I know is that they bring the bees.

So Mandy, I'll keep posting random photos and when something strikes your fancy, give me a holler.

Having fun yet?

Not forgotten

I haven't forgotten about the wedding photos! They're coming along, I'm almost done.

I'm liking the vintage effect on a lot of the wedding photos! This is the groom, he looks good right?!

The one above and below are of the groom and best man.

And this whopper of a group is my favorite Aunt and her entire immediate family. (with the exception of the newest member, the groom) That's eight kids, three daughters-in-law and six grandkids for a total of 19 people in this shot!

Sleeping Baby

So technically I don't think he's a baby. He's three months away from being 3 years old.

But when he's still this cute sleeping...

And he still can't go to bed with out his "plug"...

And he's still got cute little baby fingers...

He's my baby! And I LOVE those eyelashes.

Jealous much? Yeah, me too.

Baby Emergency

Have you ever heard that you should never give honey to a baby? Well I have. I just couldn't remember WHY you shouldn't give honey to a baby.

So anyway, tonight we went out to eat at a mexican restaurant and we had fried ice cream for dessert.

After I had shared a few bites with my baby, my hubby says something about the honey. "WHAT? This has honey? Are you sure?"

So I take another bite and yep, it's honey. And then, I instantly burst into tears. You never give honey to a baby! But I can't remember why!

I'm feeling the need to rush home and check the internet for the reason to why you should never give honey to a baby.

Apparently something to do with bacteria and honey can cause infant botulism. That can cause death! But the guidelines say for babies under 12 months. She's now 15 months old, is she safe?

Does she look lethargic?

Does she look like her muscle tone is poor?

I THINK she's o.k.

Pregnant!

Yeah! It's not me this time. :)

My sister and her hubby are having their first baby in September and I photographed her in Phoenix earlier this month.

The popular pose..

This is a cute little necklace that a friend made for her. It says "due in Sept." Cute!

I love this one. You can see her green eyes.

I think this one is elegant.

And this one I love because of the look on her face.

Congrats on the baby. FINALLY!

Great Mom

My new favorite photo shows you exactly how great a Mother I am. Here's my baby and she's covered in mud. She's also crying for me to put down the camera and open the door for her.

But if I open the door, she'll get mud and dirt inside the house. And I won't get the cute picture. So I made her suffer a bit.

What's worse parenting, the fact that my 1 year old is naked and covered in mud? Or that I won't help her because I'm too busy trying to take her picture?

Not yet

I haven't quite finished the wedding photos but I'm almost there. Here's just a couple for you to check out in the meantime...

I did the vintage effect on this one and I think it looks really cool.

Gorgeous dresses. Gorgeous flowers.

And this one... is my baby playing in the dirt. With a runny nose. Always cute, right?!

Wedding continued...

I've gotten the ceremony photos added to the gallery! Here's a couple of sneak peeks. :)

The flower girls coming in.

Father and Bride walking down the aisle.

And last, the unity candle.

Enjoy.

Sorry! :)

O.k. I've really neglected my blog lately. I just had a couple of sessions I needed to get caught up on and I still need to finish up the wedding photos. The kids are out of school and computer time for me is limited some days. Along with everything else going on.

SO I said I would post more from this session so here ya go...

Is she a sweetie or what?! Love those cheeks.

This is Dad, isn't he cool. I did a vintage effect to this one because I thought it was more interesting that way.

And this is the whole family. Told ya Mom was gorgeous, right!

I hope you guys enjoy your proofs!
