Family Session (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

I LOVE this family! I used to see them a lot because our boys played football together, but since mine didn't play this year, I haven't seen them in a while. So I was really excited when they invited me over to do some family portraits. They were so much fun, I could have hung out all day!

Enjoy the sneak peek!

Mommy Market Vendors (Albuquerque Childrens Photographer)

As I mentioned in the previous post, I did a little shopping at the Mommy Market. Here's a few of my fave finds....

My little girl modeling one of her new Kiwi Industries outfits...

There were two ladies there who had the CUTEST hair barrettes for girls. I could have bought them all! But I was good and only got a few.

The first was Sam's Bowtique and she had some amazing creations, check out her web site!

And Gloria had so many cute ones, it was so hard to decide.
You can purchase Gloria's bows through her email, glosbows@yahoo.com
And last, these incredibly beautiful headscarves for babies and little girls called Baby Dews. I didn't take any pictures, so you'll have to visit her web site. She makes them from vintage material, so each one is completely unique!
Enjoy!

Mommy Market Booth (Albuquerque Photographer)

Today I had a booth at Glowing Maternity & Baby Boutique's Mommy Market. It was fun and I met a lot of new people. I also got to see some friends and clients, thanks for coming out!
At my booth I did a drawing for a FREE session, so read on to find out if you are the winner. :)

A few of the details and my booth...
My assistant for the day, my daughter.
So I also did a little shopping at the Mommy Market. This great brand, Kiwi Industries was on sale and I bought a few things. This is my youngest in her brother's new hat and her own new pants and blouse.

Oh yeah, and for the winner of the FREE session....

Rachel, email me to claim your prize!

To everyone else, if you didn't win... don't worry! I'm planning on using the names in the box for another drawing later in the week. SO be sure to check back often to see if you are the second chance winner! Good luck. :)

Model Maternity (Albuquerque Maternity Photographer)

This is the maternity shoot that I did with Bethany for model, Nikki Harding and her new husband.

So let me give you the background story first. Nikki contacted me a few months ago and asked about doing a TFP, which is basically a trade so no money changes hands. Well I have maternity clients so I wasn't really in need of the work for my own portfolio however I knew that my good friend, Bethany needed some for hers and also that there were some shots that I wanted to try that most maternity clients traditionally haven't done. So with that in mind, Bethany and I had planned out our shoot but the weather forced us to change plans. Bethany and I are both natural light photographers so we are at the mercy of the sky. We had to wait out the rain and by the time it stopped, we were running very quickly out of daylight. So with high ISOs we began in the alleys of downtown Albuquerque and then relied on the street lights as it got darker. The cool, urban, city look was what we had planned... so we made it work. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted... something for my future maternity clients to see and say, "Hey, I like that. let's try that!" So without further ado, here are A LOT of the shots that I got.

Honest opinions here people, I want to know what you think. Don't hold back! Comment!

I'll post a few more later!

A BIG thank you to Nikki and Gabe, you guys were great to work with and made it so easy for us. Good luck on your new baby girl, I hope you'll bring her to see us!

Nikki is an amazing model, so if you are in need of a model, contact her! She's even appeared in movies, such as "Transformers", "Employee of The Month" and "Observe & Report". You can see more of Nikki's work here and here. Whoa, you go girl! :)
