This is baby "A". I actually only took a few portraits of her because I did her shoot to help my friend Bethany and show her how I do my newborn shoots. She was so good for us.

Friends (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

Continued from yesterday... this is my best friend, Bethany's family. I took a lot of pictures so I guess I have to share a lot too!

These first two are continued from yesterday's post... we asked little "S" to give her Daddy a kiss. And boy, did she ever! She grabbed his face, kissed him long enough for me to get a few frames and then pushed him away! Too funny!

This is "N" and he was so good for the entire shoot while we tried to wrangle his sister. He deserves his bribe reward! :)

I LOVE this family shot... I think it may be a new favorite...

I just think this one is hilarious!

And this last one.... I love, love, love it...

Model Maternity (Albuquerque Maternity Photographer)

This is the maternity shoot that I did with Bethany for model, Nikki Harding and her new husband.

So let me give you the background story first. Nikki contacted me a few months ago and asked about doing a TFP, which is basically a trade so no money changes hands. Well I have maternity clients so I wasn't really in need of the work for my own portfolio however I knew that my good friend, Bethany needed some for hers and also that there were some shots that I wanted to try that most maternity clients traditionally haven't done. So with that in mind, Bethany and I had planned out our shoot but the weather forced us to change plans. Bethany and I are both natural light photographers so we are at the mercy of the sky. We had to wait out the rain and by the time it stopped, we were running very quickly out of daylight. So with high ISOs we began in the alleys of downtown Albuquerque and then relied on the street lights as it got darker. The cool, urban, city look was what we had planned... so we made it work. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted... something for my future maternity clients to see and say, "Hey, I like that. let's try that!" So without further ado, here are A LOT of the shots that I got.

Future Photographer (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

This 1st picture in this post is the only picture that I actually took. The rest were taken by her...

This is my 10 year old daughter. She went with us Saturday night to check out a location and she was using my camera on Manual, at Sunset and changing settings on her own to get the look she was going for. Not only that, but she also did her own editing on the following images. I just hope that she decides to join Staley Photography and not become my competition! :)

This one is blurry I know but I love it. LOVE the bokeh!

This one she told me how she changed her settings so that she could get it really dark.

And these are the ones she took of Bethany... look at her playing with the sun... she's amazing.
